What if the Oil Spill Happened in Tulsa?

May 11, 2010

It’s difficult to appreciate the surface area affected by the Gulf’s BP Oil Spill–but it’s shocking once you actually see it in relation to where you live. To help you appreciate the size of the oil spill, Paul Rademacher has created a map that allows you to view it in relation to any given area on the planet.

As of this posts’s date, if the oil spill had occured in Tulsa, it would have already leaked into nearby states.

Very dramatic way to communicate this terrible news. We should do this every week to show how much bigger it will get.
