Don’t bore your children to death with the same Easter egg hunts, activities, and events that you took them to last year. And the year before that. And the year before that.

Instead, check out this list of the best Easter egg hunts around Oklahoma. Experience something new—whether it’s Easter-Egg hunting on the prairie or catching eggs in a basket as they tumble down from a hovering helicopter—as your kiddos (and, let’s be real, you) race, grab, and wrestle for chocolate bunnies and Easter basket fodder.

OWASSO: Owasso Egg Drop. Saturday, March 30 Like your garden-variety Easter Egg hunt, but with thousands of eggs raining from the cockpit of a helicopter. More details on Owasso Egg Drop and add to calendar.

NORMAN: Eggstravaganza. Wednesday, March 27 An egg hunt of Jurassic proportions, hosted by Oklahoma’s largest museum of natural history—home of the world’s largest Apatosaurus and the world’s largest-ever land-animal skull. Look for crafts, games, face painting, and “touch tables” with museum specimens to explore, plus photos with the bunny and an egg hunt on the museum grounds. More about Eggstravaganza in Norman.

WAGONER: Doggie Easter Egg Hunt. Saturday, March 30 Given their dull sense of smell and preference for chicken ovum over delicious Milkbones, the folks at The Canebrake decided it just wouldn’t be fair to allow human children to compete in the same Easter egg hunts as canines. More details on the Doggie Easter Egg Hunt and add to calendar.

OKC: HOPabaloo Easter Brunch. Sunday, March 31 Why eat breakfast alone when you could start the morning dressed in your Sunday best, sitting across the table from the Easter Bunny? The OKC Zoo offers just such an opportunity, complete with spiral-sliced ham, scrambled eggs, pancakes, biscuits and gravy—even macaroni and cheese. Kids age 5 and under who attend the brunch get coupons to join one of the Tiny Tot Egg Scrambles (an egg hunt—human children are not a traditional Easter food).
