Nathan Gunter

Nathan Gunter grew up in Weatherford, Oklahoma, on a college campus, where he spent hours dropping things in hydrochloric acid to see what would happen, writing stories on his dad’s computer, and visiting the fetal pigs in jars in the biology department. He graduated from high school in Oklahoma City, then majored in religion and philosophy at Wake Forest University in North Carolina before going on to become a Yale Divinity School dropout. He is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma’s graduate professional writing program.

Nathan writes for the Oklahoma Gazette and was a contributor to Sarah Brown’s Cringe: Toe-Curlingly Embarrassing Teenage Diaries, Letters, and Bad Poetry, published in the UK. His has written at gaychristian.net, Open Salon, and on his website, Okay City. An aspiring author, he is currently shilling his work to agents, editors and publishers; this occasionally involves hiding in their cars and telling them the fetal pig story. He lives in Oklahoma City with his husband, dog, and assorted cast of characters.
