Richard Cox was born in Odessa, Texas. He spent much of his childhood in the Lone Star State and also lived in New Orleans and Williston, North Dakota. In 1992 he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Texas A&M University and currently resides in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Richard plays a little basketball and a lot of golf. He also enjoys traveling and of course reads anything he can get his hands on. At age eleven he began writing fiction and to date has written over forty short stories and three novels. Rift is his first work accepted for publication, and The God Particle was published in May 2005 by Random House. He is currently at work on his next novel.
