Yesterday, on This Land Live, News Editor Holly Wall interviewed Kim Haywood, director of the deadCENTER Film Festival, a 12-year-old festival with international reach that happens annually in downtown Oklahoma City. This year, the festival runs June 6-10 and boasts 100 feature-length and short films, about 25 percent of which were made in Oklahoma. Haywood and Wall talked about the festival’s history, what sets it apart from others, and Oklahoma’s thriving (believe it or not) film industry.
